Meet Dr. Brown – The Woman
Dr. Brown and her husband, Minister Cedric Brown, are owners and CEO of multiple businesses, CBS Lawn Service, LLC , CBS Business Solutions, LLC and Ladies Lessons 101(non-profit). They are parents to four children and are heavily involved in the ministry and outreach to the community. She treasures her affiliations centered around a healthy body and mind with the Latasha Norman Walk for Domestic Violence Center at Jackson State University and the Mississippi Blues Marathon (healthy living). She is passionate about youth and devotes many hours to projects, including Book Drives, Toys-4-Tots, and the South Mississippi Abstinence Education Program. She works with the Youth Ministry, a Praise and Worship Leader and member of her church. Lastly, a few of her affiliations include the Mississippi Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (MAEOPP), State Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (SAEOPP), Mississippi Association of Educational Office Professionals, NACADA - National Academic Advising Association, Council for Opportunity in Education (COE), HBCU Title III Administrators and her community service and outreach as a member of Chi Sigma Iota (Beta Omnicron) and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
Dr. Brown's Mantra: Being a good leader requires remembering that you're there for a reason, and the reason certainly isn't to have your way. High-integrity leaders not only welcome questioning and criticism - but they insist.
